The piece that started it all. Inspired by the life of a supernova of a woman and a landmark birthday… many of the stitches and designs here were borrowed from Mystical Stitches, a book by Christi Johnson I still use to inspire and guide me today even if I am now designing my own images. The Dragon Eye on the pocket is a stitched adaptation of Kim Krans’ illustration of the dragon card in her Animal Spirit deck.
